Originally from Cleveland, Dr. Mark Green attended the University of Cincinnati where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1986.  Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, Dr. Green pursued his podiatric medical education at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland.  It was there that he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1990.  Dr. Green continued his specialty training in Kansas City as a surgical resident at Park Lane Medical Center. During his postgraduate training, he gained extensive experience in Kansas City area hospitals with particular emphasis on reconstructive foot surgery, foot trauma, and diabetic foot complications.

Following completion of his surgical training in 1992, Dr. Green joined Truman Medical Center as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery where he trained podiatric and orthopedic residents in foot surgery.

Dr. Green is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is an active member of the American and Missouri Podiatric Medical Associations.

A private pilot since the age of 17, Dr. Green enjoys flying his Beechcraft Bonanza. He is a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, a national organization of pilots who volunteer to fly patients in need of medical care and their families to distant healthcare facilities otherwise inaccessible to the patient. He has flown patients as far as Houston and routinely flies patients throughout the Midwest. Dr. Green holds a Commercial Pilot’s License with Multi-engine, Instrument, Glider and Seaplane ratings, and has a passion for flying both powered and non-powered paragliders.

When not in the air, Dr. Green enjoys sailing, scuba diving, rock climbing, running and hacking away at the piano. Dr. Green, his wife Denise, and sons Tyler and Colin reside in Overland Park, KS
