Our Technology:

At Kansas City Foot and Ankle, we utilize state of the art diagnostic and treatment technology, such as a digital x-ray system, diagnostic ultrasound, extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) as well as diode laser available for the treatment of fungal toenails and warts, and for treating other painful foot and ankle conditions.  We utilize tablet computers in the treatment rooms for EMR and x-rays.

       

We enjoy a healthy stream of new patients daily, thanks to our large physician referral base, as well as satisfied patients that are happy to refer their family and friends.  With the help of our full-time marketing director, we also maintain a very productive marketing strategy that has proven successful in attracting new patients and retaining our existing patient population.   Our doctors are engaged in the community.  We are constantly working to create and maintain relationships with referring providers and other sources of referral throughout the community.  We are out giving talks, sponsoring events and educating the public on foot and ankle health and the specialized services we provide at Kansas City Foot and Ankle.

We treat patients like they’re the only ones in the office, even with a solidly packed schedule.  We try to create a unique and positive experience for our patients.  We treat our patients as we all expect to be treated when we are patients in other medical practices, taking all measures to stay on time, taking the time to thoroughly explain their condition in ways that they can understand and appreciate, and working with them to find the best treatment for their lifestyle.  We commonly get this type of feedback from our patients:  “I’ve been to three other doctors, and no one ever explained my condition as well and as thoroughly as you just did.”  When I walk into a treatment room I have a big smile on my face and nothing else matters but making that patient happy.  I expect, and patients receive, the same exemplary care from every staff member in the practice.

About The Position:

We are looking for a doctor with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to work shoulder to shoulder with us to build and grow the practice together.  We’re looking for a doctor who is interested in marketing to grow the practice; a doctor who is interested in practice management; a doctor who is willing to learn how to practice successfully as a private practitioner.  The doctor who applies for this position should truly be a self-starter; a self-motivated individual who is really looking for something exceptional, not just a job.

We’re looking for a well-rounded podiatrist because we practice the full scope of podiatric medicine and surgery.  Not all conditions are surgical, and can be treated successfully without the need for a trip to the O.R.  With that said, many conditions do necessitate surgical correction, so we’re looking for a doctor who has the surgical skills to perform any and all surgical procedures including rearfoot and ankle work.

The doctor that comes and works at Kansas City Foot and Ankle will learn how to practice very, very efficiently and very effectively as a private practicing podiatrist.  In our practice, we have systems and protocols that help manage and grow the practice successfully.   Be prepared to be engaged in our marketing plans to help grow the practice.

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Wants to be a successful practitioner.
  • Has completed a three year surgical residency and is comfortable performing all aspects of foot and ankle surgery.
  • Understands the importance of treating people right and the value of great customer service.  Again, we provide first class medicine, while creating world-class patient experiences.
  • Is a team player.  We take care of each other.  We collaborate.  Sometimes we have to see each other’s patients.  And we understand that at Kansas City Foot and Ankle, our staff doesn’t work for the doctors.  Our staff works with the doctor’s in an effort to provide the best possible care and amazing experiences for our patients.
  • Will be highly motivated to learn as much as possible regarding the business of medicine, in order to become a highly successful practitioner.  All surgery and no business sense does not make for a successful practice.
